Shockingly, it seems to have taken an entire week for the campaign to get Barack Obama to issue the silver fox a pardon to go to Edwin Edwards' head. EWE told the Monroe News-Star that he would probably run against Bobby Jindal, in this fall's governor's race if he wasn't limited by that pesky racketeering conviction. "If it was legally possible for me to run, I think I would," the 84-year-old told the Northern Louisiana newspaper. "I wouldn't guarantee it, but I think I would."
